Hi! My name is Cécile, nice to meet you! I’m an independent translator based in Paris. Passionate about writing and foreign languages, I’ve combined my two lifelong loves into one profession: translation!
After earning a Master’s degree in English Studies from Paris Nanterre University, with a thesis focused on translation, I embarked on the freelance adventure to work closely with my clients.

How long is the translation process?
It depends on the length, style and complexity of your document. Translating a video game bestiary isn’t the same as translating an ingredient list! That’s why I study each project in detail before providing a delivery date. Feel free to provide the word count of your document when filling out the contact form, so I can give you an initial estimate!
What is transcreation?
Transcreation fits somewhere between translation and copywriting. It involves research and adaptation work for commercial purposes. That’s why I consider it akin to marketing translation. Translation is not only a bridge between languages, it’s also a bridge between cultures! Therefore, it becomes necessary to play with language nuances and established expressions to find the right phrasing. Because, let’s face it, translating the saying “il y a anguille sous roche” as “there is an eel under the rock” doesn’t really work. However, you can always reach out to me for an accurate translation!
